My friend I write this poem,
to let you know how I feel.
Because friendship today is taken lightly,
but to me, your friendship means a great deal.
Our friendship is something special,
something not many people have.
As they think their friendships are a whole,
but later find out they are only halves.
I believe our friendship is different,
because we both understand,
there are times we just need a shoulder to cry on,
and there are times we need a helping hand.
Our friendship has gone so far,
because we have been thru good and bad.
We’ve laughed in moments that were happy,
and we’ve cried in moments that are sad.
There are times I do not want lectures,
suggestions or advice.
There are times I just need a friend to talk to,
to know you are always there is really nice.
We can’t forget the gossip.
One of us would call and say,
Did you hear whose getting married?
The other would be like, What? Oh my god, No Way!
I hope I’ve made it clear,
what your friendship means to me.
and hope our friendship last
thru all eternity.
